As a brief guided tour of the Old Testament, from Genesis through Malachi, A Lamp Unto My Feet is an invitation to reflect seriously on the sweet and sobering word of God. "The law of the Lord is perfect," the Psalmist wrote, "converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgements of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb" (Psalm 19:7-10)

Christine Ipson tenaciously tracked down references and organized files. Lorie Soza succeeded at the daunting task of compiling and ordering the separate days into a cohesive whole. We are particularly grateful for our wives, Karmel and Shauna, and for their ongoing support through a demanding time. The peaceful environments in our homes make the difficult task of writing much, much more manageable.
