Textbook Rentals

Will textbooks be available to rent at the store and through the website?

Currently, textbooks can be rented in-store or through Textbook Reservations. They are not currently available for online rental.

Which titles will be available?

You can see which of your book are available for rental by looking up your current booklist.

What are the prices for textbook rentals?

Prices are not yet available, but you will be able to save up to 65% off the price for new textbooks when you rent your textbooks from the University Store.

What is the rental agreement?

The rental agreement is an agreement made between the University store and the individual at the time of rental. It is specified as follows:

1. I understand and agree to the rental terms and conditions as outlined below.
2. Highlighting and writing in the rented textbooks is permitted.
3. Textbook Refund Policy and dates apply to my Rented Materials.
4. The University Store is not responsible for reminding me of the Rental Return Date.
5. I am responsible for any loss or theft of the Rented Materials.
6. I will return the Rented Materials to the University Store by the final day of the academic term in which the items were rented.
7. Rented Materials must be returned in salable condition (as determined by the University Store) and contain all component parts.
8. If I fail to return them by the final return date, or return them in unsalable condition, I AGREE TO PAY the University Store the replacement cost of the items, which is the current used price plus a $5.00 fee per rented item. I authorize the University Store to charge my student account for this cost.
